He told us it was $197 to pick us up. We spoke to him more than once and explained the situation and How many people we had and how many supplies , he said he might have to take two trips. Never once did he say it would be twice as much. The next day after he moved us and our gear then told us it was $197 per trip. (15 min. Ride if that.)
When I got home I researched some other companies for transportation and for $150 - $210 You can get dropped off and picked up. This is round trip prices, two trips! These guys totally screwed us. My credit card company said I can't dispute the charges because I signed the bill excepting the service at the time. When i called to discuss the matter with the owner he cut me off before I could finish my first sentence told me to call a lawyer and to go f**k my self.
Reasonably priced; good boats; like the location. But I was asked where I was going and what I was doing, which I didn't care for much. I'm paying you rental fees and a security deposit; I'll have the canoe back when it's due; none of your business where I'm going!
This guy charged us twice as much as any other water taxi service would have.
Being stuck on one of the camping islands with 6 kids because our boat broke down during a thunderstorm and all out of food. 1st of all they didn't make out to get us before the storm and would not wait for it to pass. So we set camp back up. Flagged down a boat for some hot dogs from the camp store. So apparently it wasn't very late when the rain stopped.
Great service, very professional, our boat was perfect, new or like new, we loved it. Would definitely rent here again and would recommend it to others.
I have never been screwed so bad. And never will again. I really hope people read this.
Awful business practice, terrible customer service, broken boats. Me and my family of 19 including 2 babies, got stock in the middle of the lake due to the gages on the boat being broken and we ran out of gas. After many hours of being stuck on the lake, we finally were towed to the gas station and we're late to return the boats. This business not only refused to apologize for the broken boat, but also charges us $300!!!! for "overtime". They most likely do this to all their customers. Do NOT rent from them.
They took advantage of us in a bad situation.
